Effectiveness of management actions to reduce the spread of invasive plants from roadsides.
Invasive Species/Vegetation Management
Over 3 years
Assess management efforts to prevent or slow the spread
of exotic plants into and away from roadsides. Research should stratify sites
based upon ecosystem, soil fertility and time of disturbance. Study sites are
recommended in the Great Basin and Mojave deserts.
It will assist USFWS efforts to determine successful
management actions that minimize impacts to federally listed species in
habitats adjacent to roadways.
