Key databases, including RIP and TRID, used by transportation professionals to track up to date, open-sourced materials from state DOTs, local municipalities and federal sources are woefully out of date. An efficient update approach using AI could fill these gaps and represent a pilot approach for future updates to these and other databases serving resilience professionals and others. Numerous, existing AI tools and algorithms exist to support this proposal and the options are multiplying rapidly.
