Research Idea Scope
The object is to characterize the health impacts from decisions on transportation–from planning to projects. This relationship is thought to influence public health issues and transportation agencies need more information about the issues and strategies for mitigation or promotion of healthy populations.
Urgency and Payoff
This research will help inform decisions about projects and services in the transportation community. Strategies should be developed that can be embraced in the planning, operations and construction of transportation projects.
