Research Idea Scope
There is presently no contemporary instructional media available to state DOT’s on herbicide application. The existing media was prepared by Purdue University in the 1980’s and needs updating to reflect issues such as dealing with the public, herbicide resistance and invasive species.
Urgency and Payoff
This research will improve roadside vegetation management by providing an attractive instructional tool with a consistent, on message approach to effective, safe and environmentally appropriate herbicide use across the nation.
