Research Idea Scope

Fog induced visibility reduction is imposing a serious threat to safety, has limited traffic movements along highways and has so many indirect effect on economy and human life during winters throughout the world. Many management practices are going on throughout the world with limited and marginal success also bearing high costs. The study is aimed at identifying the tree species that are ever green in nature, can maintain high temperature around, have big & shiny leaves, taller in height vertically with greater diameter in horizontal directions, not creating a threat to highway stability and safety and that are also indigenous to particular area.

Urgency and Payoff

This management practice is envisioned to bring multitude of positive impact like cleaning of air pollution along the highway by reducing CO2 levels, noise barrier, providing shade in summer and fog reduction & dispersion in winters and will attracts avian and has a scenic beauty as well.
