2019 Flexible Design Workshop

On July 21, 2019, the Center for Environmental Excellence by the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) held a Flexible Design Workshop at the Joint Meeting of the AASHTO Council on Active Transportation and the AASHTO Committee on Design in Reno, Nevada. The workshop provided an opportunity for over 100 participants to discuss challenges associated with flexible design implementation; including gaps in training, technical assistance, and capacity building needs.
