AASHTO Policy and Government Relations: Surface Reauthorization

Passed in November 2021, the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) represents a historic level of investment in our nation’s transportation infrastructure. While the IIJA does not expire until September 30, 2026, AASHTO is initiating development of State DOT’s reauthorization policy priorities in order to most effectively influence how the next legislation succeeding the IIJA will be shaped by Congress and the Administration.
